Check out the answers for commonly asked questions, or information on the questions that should be asked when selecting an electrician.

We have over 20 years experience in the electrical industry ranging from commercial to residential. For commercial we focus on SMB and even local city needs (like fire departments) and with residential our support offerings range from a small trouble shooting job to panel upgrades, to even rewiring an entire house.

Aside from our webiste, we encourage you to join and like us on Facebook as well as on Yelp!

You should look for someone who is experienced and knowledgeable on the laws, codes, and requirements – no short cuts that can leave you liable or in a dangerous situation.

Make sure they understand you project needs (desired results, budget and timing), is there any additional work needed after the job that wont be provided by the electrician (drywall repair, paint, inspections).

Do they have a high amount of change orders – while a very low bid may sound great, they may be likely to make their money back somewhere.

Will they pull the permits for you? While you can pull your own permits if you wish, your contractor should also be able to pull them if you prefer.

Will they be on the jobsite if an inspection is need? It’s not easy for a home or business owner to understand what an inspector says and then have to relay the message, nor is it fair for the customer to have to walk the inspector through the job.

Not all jobs require all power to be turned off. Many times it can be done on a specific circuit vs the entire site. In anycase, we will do our best to minimize this effort. If power is needed to be turned off to one or more breakers it will be done for as little time as possible. If the job is planned to run more than 1 day, we will make every effort to ensure you have power before the end of the day and turn it back off, if needed, the following day.

Usually the only time Edison is notified of work is when a panel upgrade is performed. It is critical to the safety of ourselves, but also to the safety of Edison’s employees as if they are working on a line elsewhere up stream there could be drastic consequences if they are not aware of work being done on one of their lines.

Parts typically have a warranty from the manufacture which can range from each product. Since we have high standards of installation we also warranty our labor against installation defects.

We primarily support the Northern Orange County area as well as some surrounding cities. Customers who fall outside of our normal service area can still receive our service with an additional trip charge.

If you are outside of our normal service area we are willing to provide you a rough estimate so that you can use it as a starting point while you are vetting your vendor options.

For the fastest and most clear communications talking over the phone or in person is best. This allows both parties (customer and Crkt) the ability to have a conversation and learn more about the job. You can call us directly or provide you phone number and we’ll contact you.

Email is also an option where it may be easier on your schedule to have a back and forth at your leisure.Â
